Community Engagement
Community Engagement is integral in building trust, enhancing program effectiveness, and fostering a sense of shared responsibility within the communities served by Goshen’s Fountain of Nutrition and Health.
We collaborate with local stakeholders like schools, health clinics, and community organizations, to identify needs and leverage resources effectively. These partnerships help to enhance the reach and impact of food security programs and health initiatives.
We conduct education and awareness campaigns using informational materials to educate community members about nutrition, health practices, and climate-smart initiatives. This empowers individuals to make informed choices that contribute to their well-being and that of the environment.
We mobilize community members to participate in programs, whether through volunteering or contributing local knowledge and resources. Engaging the community in service fosters a sense of ownership and commitment to collective goals. This fosters a spirit of volunteerism among communities.
We involve community members in climate-smart initiatives, such as sustainable agricultural practices or community gardens. This not only addresses food security but also educates and involves the community in sustainable practices
The Programs that Goshen’s focuses on in community engagement are…
Nutrition and Health
Economic Empowerment
Food Security
